By full time both teams were level at 0-0, however Cameroons’s super sub, Roger Milla scored two goals, one of them coming from a mistake made by the Colombian goalkeeper Rene Higuita. By the end of this match Roger Milla had scored 4 goals in the tournament all as a substitute. Colombia had a late consolation coming from a perfect pass from Carlos Valderama through to Bernardo Redin.


Czechoslovakia V Costa Rica    4-1
Costa Rica proved they were a force to be reckon with in the Group stages, beating both Scotland and Sweden.  However Costa Rica’s luck ran out, against Czechoslovakia. Thomas Skuhravy gave the Czech’s the lead early on in the first half. Early into the second half Costa Rica leveled the scoring. However Thomas Skuhravy’s secongd goal of the game put Czechoslovakia back into the lead. They followed this with a goal from Lubos Kubik and Skuhravy sealed victory scoring his third late on in the match.
