Today, some qualifying games against lower profile opposition and some friendlies have been played at the Ratina Stadion in Tampere. Helsinki's Finnair Stadium, which has artificial turf, is also used for some friendlies. Despite coming close to qualifying, Finland have never qualified for a European championship of world cup.
